The Case of the Disappearing Keynote

So you paid big, did the promo and then... poof... your speaker finds a better date. WTH?!?

From the "in case you missed it file." The SHRM Conference, one of the year's big events for one of the largest association's in the U.S., had bagged Ted Lasso himself for their keynote this year. The marketing was... great. Jason Sudekis, looking all good guy famous was coming in to Chicago for the event during the last week fo June to talk about mental health and important stuff! Ted was going to help your HR department through the dark days! It was going to be great...

Until it wasn't.

Because he bailed at the 11th hour. To maybe go hang with Caitilin Clark and Chance the Rapper, or some such. Depends on who you read and what you beleve. (There's a bit out here on what happened when he didn't show, so you can look that up.)

Bottom line - no one really knows why he didn't go and I'm not going to pretend that I know what actually happened, other than Al Roker apparently showed up instead and did a bang up job.
